Pen button shortcuts on the tablet

Map the barrel button to undo or eraser per app.
Develop and Layout both want the pen button. Let each app claim it, with a system default for the rest.
Status
OpenOpen, and collecting votes and comments. A maintainer marks an idea planned or not planned once there is enough to go on, and writes the reason here either way. Nothing is decided yet.

Agree with the problem. Not sure about the fix as written; would a setting in the existing panel do it without a new screen?

Reading this one. Not marking it yet; I want to see whether the votes keep coming over the next month before it takes a lane. The problem is well described, which helps.
